Coastal Walks & Hacking Landscapes
“Living in an area bounded by the Port Hacking River, the Pacific Ocean and the rugged coastal landscape in the Royal National Park I continue to be inspired, as an artist, by the dramatic moods and physical nature of the landscape. Along the Hacking River steep hillsides and rock-faces rise from the riverbanks and are scattered with ancient boulders, grass trees and red gums. High on the ridges are weathered aboriginal archeological sites. An awareness of ancient history and aboriginal occupation also permeates this work.” |
